As with any vehicle on Hanceville streets, the smaller the vehicle, the better the chances of getting good fuel economy. That’s no longer the case, especially with Chevy’s upcoming all-electric versions of the Chevy Blazer and Chevy Equinox on their way. These will no doubt be the most fuel efficient midsize SUVs in our lineup. While waiting for them to roll off the factory lines, let’s take a look at the fuel efficient SUVs in the current Chevy lineup:
With over 54 cubic feet of cargo space, not only is the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer better on fuel economy than the Chevy Trax (24 mpg city/32 mpg highway), but it also has more cargo space. That said, the Chevy Trax is an extremely agile ride that can conquer any Cullman parking space.
For year Decatur drivers have gravitated towards the Chevy Equinox because of its exceptional gas mileage. It’ll become more in demand for its fuel efficiency with the 300-mile range Equinox EV becomes available in autumn, 2023. While the Chevy Blazer currently is currently behind the Equinox with its 19 mpg city/27 mpg highway, the Blazer EV will surpass the Equnox with a 320-mile range. It’ll be available in summer, 2023. The Chevy Traverse (18 mpg city/27 mpg highway) is gets slightly less fuel economy, it’s also the rare midsize SUV that offers a third row of seating while still retaining its midsize driveabity.
The Chevy Tahoe beats the Chevy Suburban (14 mpg city/20 mpg highway) when it comes to being a fuel-efficient SUV. However, the Chevy Suburban makes up the difference by being named Best Large SUV for Families by U.S. News & World Report two years in a row. The Suburban also offers best-in-class cargo space.
No matter which of Chevy’s most fuel efficient SUVs you choose, Mitch Smith Chevrolet, Inc. is there to help you get the most for your gas money!
