Which is Better: Ford or Chevy?

Blue Silverado 1500 driving thru mountains

It’s a debate that’s raged in Hartselle and beyond since the early days of the automotive industry: which is better, Ford or Chevy? Granted, we’re a little biased at Mitch Smith Chevrolet, Inc., preferring what Chevrolet has to offer our Hanceville customers. But lets take a closer look at some of the reasons why Ford is always the winner with us when it comes to innovative yet dependable new cars in Cullman.

Which is Better: Ford or Chevy Cars?

There’s really no debate when it comes to which is better: Ford or Chevy cars. That’s because for the current model year, there are no Ford cars. Since discontinuing the Ford Focus after the 2019 model year, the company has switched their focus to SUVs and trucks. Even the iconic Ford Mustang received an SUV make-over.

Chevy recognizes that there are still plenty of drivers who prefer the smaller size, better fuel economy, and manageability of a sedan. That’s why you’ll find the elegant Chevy Malibu and the nimble Spark in our inventory, along with the all-electric Bolt, and our beloved sports cars, the Camaro and Corvette.

Which is Better: Ford or Chevy Trucks?

The full-size truck market has always been a battleground between these two brands. Let’s see what the experts have to say regarding which is better: Ford or Chevy trucks. J.D. Power and Associates compared the 2022 Chevy Silverado and Ford F-150. They gave the advantage to Chevy in dependability, gas mileage, touchscreen, and cargo bed space. And while the Ford F-150 was first to offer a hybrid powertrain, the Silverado 1500 is the first to go all-electric

Which is Better: Ford or Chevy SUVs?

When it comes to SUVs, deciding which is better, Ford or Chevy SUVs can be tough because both brands offer such extensive selections. Ford offers eight SUV choices, while Chevy has seven. Both brands offer eight SUV models that include one electric model (Chevy Bolt EUV and Ford Mustang Mach-E). However, Chevy will be hitting the EV market hard in 2023 when they introduce electric versions of two SUV favorites: the Chevy Blazer EV and Chevy Equinox EV. If you want to be on the cutting edge of technology and green driver, the advantage goes to Chevy.
